Michelle Zauner (Japanese Breakfast) declares that MGM’s Orion Pictures have procured the rights to adjust her New York Times Best Selling diary, Crying In H Mart, for the screen with Stacey Sher and Jason Kim delivering, and Japanese Breakfast giving the soundtrack to the film. Crying In H Mart is accessible now through Knopf.

“It is a strange rush to have the chance to memorialize my mom in film, and I consider it of the greatest honor to seek after that errand close by inventive lights like Stacey Sher, Jason Kim and Orion Pictures,” says Zauner.

Over the course of the end of the week Japanese Breakfast showed up on CBS This Morning, where the band played “Be Sweet,” “Kokomo, IN,” and “Strategies,” three tunes from their widely praised new collection, Jubilee, out now through Dead Oceans.
